Our architecture relies on large arrays of classical lasers to drive photon sources—too many for bulky, off-the-shelf solutions to scale affordably.

We’re reducing cost by integrating classical components on-chip, using the same photonics platform we built for quantum computing.

What if we've been building AI completely wrong? While tech giants burn billions training on internet data, @thousandbrains.org just created an AI that learns like a child by exploring and touching objects. It’s the real path to intelligence: gregrobison.medium.com/hands-on-int...

Small waves from this now, but I believe you'll see this grow and hit as a tsunami 5 years from now.
🚀 Exciting update! The Thousand Brains Project is now an independent non-profit organization separate from @numentaofficial.bsky.social. This change empowers us to focus entirely on our mission - free from for-profit distractions - while advancing our groundbreaking research. 🌍 thousandbrains.org

Given the perceived differences in parenting styles - strict, hover, permissive, free-range, etc. - I wonder how much of that behavior will carry over into use of LLMs. Perhaps the majority of folks do not treat them as children, and certainly not THEIR children, and it's not an issue. Hm...

Beyond LLMs: The Thousand Brains Project offers a biologically-inspired path to AI that mimics how humans actually learn. Think cortical columns and sensorimotor learning instead of massive datasets. Thoughts on this fascinating approach here: www.linkedin.com/posts/jjlesk...
