every single thumbnail on this website is ai generated and has offputting horror vibes

but also these sound packs feel so... niche. like i would never need an entire pack of "Quiet male Burps." did they ai generate a hundred Quiet male Burps? who needs all these Quiet male Burps?

at first i thought it was just a weird light trick. like it's just some pattern recognition thing going on in my brain. but no. that's a freaky little guy in the Twister Game sound pack thumbnail. i guess i was trying to give this thumbnail the benefit of the doubt

years ago this was one of the movies a job had me watch for cinematic reference and a lot of its imagery still sticks with me today

i enjoyed reading various analysis essays on the movie. lots of stuff to chew on. also a great movie for people who want to get into horror & don't like jump scares

i did get the first one on mega discount a while back, and i was thinking of maybe giving it an actual try. i remember being overwhelmed with all the weird pawn systems...but i think it's cool that it had a weird, complicated system like that

ah that's true, i sometimes think of historical fiction and fantasy as the same even though they're very different. but it did get me a lot more curious about the time period/history if it's worth anything

while this article mainly focuses on anglosphere game productions, i'm curious about how the nioh franchise compares in its historical fiction. played through both 1 and 2 this past year and i found its storytelling to be really fascinating, but i am also not well-educated in sengoku period japan

the wailing (2016) has fantastic cinematography and is pretty creepy, but it might be somewhat esoteric
