Remnants of my mom

Posts chronicling the items I can't part with but also have no use for, in hopes that this will allow me to let go.
This is not explicitly my mother's. It's the outside of a wallet that belonged to my great grandmother. I found the wallet while helping clean up and have used it ever since and never lost it. I had the wallet remade. I saved this for a year or so but decided it was time to let go of this piece.

While this wasn't my mom's. This box of Origami paper was a gift from one of the last Christmas's in which she bought me gifts. I've been shuffling it around for years. Today, I have decided to try to turn the entire box into cranes and then display them in a glass vase or other container.

I've had this appointment card on my fridge ever since I found it in some paperwork. Not sure why I put it on my fridge. It's a moment frozen in time. With it on my fridge, the appointment is yet to happen and my mom will be heading to it any day now.

My mom passed away a few years ago. One of the many small items that is now residing in my home. An autograph book from the school she went to in Texas. These missives would have been from age 13. I grieve for the girl I never met and the girl who did not know what life has in store for her.
