The US has never considered doing this as state societies and board get $$ and control now. Finally passed a law to create a National Practitioner data base but hard to access and so docs can move from state to state. National license is a better solution.

Nice to see but is not news to anyone who is awake in the US - we need to be working on radical reforms in medical school admissions and residency education - the US pipeline is dangerously low.

Call centers destroy a patient’s sense of connection to a practice. Please don’t use them for “efficiency” - study them. Easier to solve problems directly rather than skimming through “if you want this, push 5”

If “wellness visits” are not used to increase a physicians understanding of who the patient is, increase trust and emphasize continuity, and build a relationship, it is just a bunch of check marks. @aafp.bsky.social

we live in a prairie in North East Illinois. No buffalo but lots of flowers, wildlife and insects. Our community is a conservation community - and anyone can get closer to that idea.

How many patients does this facility serve, how far do they have to travel to get care, would 2-4 person practices throughout the city, networked and collaborating be better for everyone?? @aafp.bsky.social
