I saw this in the latest Tordotcom email and can't wait to read it. Kill All Wizards by Jedediah Berry comes out June 16, 2026. The description is what got me--picture Conan the Barbarian caught up in a comedy of manners! How could that not be fun!

NINE GOBLINS: A TALE OF LOW FANTASY AND HIGH MISCHIEF by T. Kingfisher was a fun read! I liked seeing a fantasy story from the goblins perspective for a change. #ewgc

Cameron Crowe has a new memoir called The Uncool coming out on October 28. I loved his movie Almost Famous and can't wait to read about the real events that inspired the movie! Bonus for those on Edelweiss because you can download it now!

This morning I finished Stone & Sky by Ben Aaronovitch. I have been a big fan of the Rivers of London series from the first book. This is book 10 so don't jump in here but I highly recommend this series that blends #Fantasy & #PoliceProcedurals!

My #FridayReads is the graphic novel Never Been Deader: Lifeless Carl and the Not-So-Sweet Embrace of Death by Tommy Devoid. Poor Carl discovers he is dead one morning and has to learn how to navigate the afterlife. Including still having to go to work and get stuck in traffic.

I needed something to stop me from doom scrolling and The Society of Unknowable Objects by Gareth Brown hit the spot. A secret society. Magical objects. A strong, relatable main character in Magda. And just plain fun. Plus an ending leaving open the possibility of a sequel!

My #FridayReads is Why I Love Horror: Essays on Horror Literature edited by Becky Spratford. I only read the first few essays so far but it is fascinating to read the different ways the authors got into horror. And it is great to see I am not alone in my love of horror!
