We are watching “Jaws” with 500 neighbors on a huge outdoor screen at the Outermost Inn at the western tip of Martha’s Vinyard where it was filmed 50 years.

The USA had over a thousand school mass shooting deaths in the last 15 years and the number is trending upwards.
China, the country with the next highest number of deaths over that period, has a per capita death rate of 4%. So are we the greatest country or what?
