I mean its not only about slapping tariffs (but these are welcome) and non-tariff stuff

There are counterarguments to our 'assembly line' reductionist take, that Chinese OEMs will only import subsidised parts/sets to Europe.
Some say Japan localized the value chain after all, including in the US. But it took VERs, harball negotiations first etc.
And Beijing will not want this
