Animals have always played a part in human conflict😞. As of this year, 75 animals have received the 'Dickin Medal' for gallantry, including 32 pigeons, 38 dogs, 5 horses and one cat.
Cats served as mascots, mustard gas detectors, for vermin control as well as camp companions.

Indeed, over 16 million animals fought alongside man in WWI with 9 million of these tragically never making it back home. 100,000 of these were homing pigeons, tasked with carrying crucial messages across enemy lines; a task in which they had a 95% success rate where others failed. 1/

I think it’s fitting that on Remembrance Day in 🇨🇦Canada, Mother Nature honoured veterans by displaying her red Aurora Borealis pointed from the earth to Heaven in the Western sky tonight.
Very nice tribute to our courageous Veterans. #LestWeForget.

Though it seems dark now America, and this vandalism this is a travesty, you’ll rebuild when this Regime is ousted. It’s important to remember that the WH of today is the result of rebuilding after fire gutted it in 1814 & President Truman’s extensive reno’s that changed the WH more than the fire.

This was that lady’s costume minutes before these corrupt cops tackled her to the ground. She even managed to carry a flag! Although the cops made her trample it as they were perp-walking her (…ya know? because they are all about “honour” and everything🙄).

No wonder. Evil is repelled, recoils in the presence of Christ. What we have been able to do for detainees for the past several years, which is written into Illinois law, was refused by this current Federal Government. "Father, forgive the ones who do not know what they are doing." "Have mercy on the souls of those who know exactly what they're doing. Touch their hearts and transform them from stony hearts into fleshy, life-giving hearts." "Only through, with and in God will hearts be changed!" The battle for hearts and minds, compassion and mercy, continues... Please pray especially for the children, for the mothers and fathers who are being treated inhumanely. A post by father Larry Dowling: I had the privilege this morning of leading a Eucharistic Procession from St. Eulalia Church in Maywood, IL to the ICE Detention Center in Broadview. We went to pray and have a few of us clergy and religious women bring Holy Communion and the love of the Christian community to the men and women detained there under inhumane conditions. Over 1,000 Catholics and other Christians marched in peaceful prayer and song, facilitated by the Maywood and Broadview Police Departments and the Illinois State Police. I cannot speak more highly of these public safety officers in providing us safe passage. Upon arrival, it was a different story. There were no ICE or Federal representatives there. When requesting to talk with a representative from Homeland Security and ICE, the State Police reached out on our behalf to make the request over the phone, After a brief wait, the answer came back very clearly: NO, YOU CANNOT BRING A HINT OF COMPASSION AND PRAYER INTO THIS PLACE! NO, YOU CANNOT OFFER ANY SOLACE TO THE MEN AND WOMEN FEARFUL AND SUFFERING INSIDE! NO, YOU CANNOT BRING JESUS, THE SON OF GOD, THE LOVE OF GOD, INTO THIS PLACE!

It’s not just one man, it’s the Republican Party complicit in this authoritarian regime of tyranny. Remember: Republicans could stop this insanity at any moment but are willfully choosing not to. They want this all to play out & use MAGA as scapegoats while Republicans skirt responsibility.
A meme noting: There are many people behind this mess, not just the person we see in front of us. Every time we talk, write, or post about the situation, we need to refer to it as the Republican Party, the Republican Regime, or the Republican Debacle.
