I also turned the same Raspberry Pi 5 into a Jellyfin media server, so I stream all my movies and shows locally, no pricey subscriptions needed. The equipment may be a bit pricey in the range of 250-400$. Hit me up if you want the setup guide; it’s a bit tricky but totally worth it.

lastly I run AdGuard Home on a Raspberry Pi 5. It works as a DNS firewall, wiping ads, trackers, malware and phishing sites for every device from phones, laptops, TV, IoT. Custom blocklists, forced safe‑search and per‑device whitelists keep the net fast and private.

My daily Proton stack runs on the VPN, it keeps my browsing hidden and can block ads. Proton Mail is my go‑to for instant aliases that mask my real address and can be deactivated anytime. I also roll with the Proton Password Manager no fluff, just solid security.

I ditched Google, switched to Proton, and love the upgrade. It’s not flawless, but way better. I will include my affiliate link as it does help me but to save you more money I would advise to grab around black Friday for the extra 50% deal they do. pr.tn/ref/PDR362AZ

Second layer of privacy is I snagged a Pixel and installed GrapheneOS which strips Google bloat, boosts sandboxing, encrypts everything, and gives you tight permission control. Yeah, pricey extra privacy, but totally worth the peace of mind. Here is there page for more info @grapheneos.org
