I went back to San Jacinto , US-3511 today. Same general results. However, as I was taking some time to hunt park-to-park, I managed to hear 9U1RU in Burundi on 17 meters in blazing fast CW. So I upped my keyer speed, said a prayer, and got through. #POTA #hamradio #amateurradio

I haven't been on the air in months. Work, family, and weather have all kept me busy or unable. But I got out today and set up and enjoyed the cool(er), albeit wet, Houston weather. Bands were OK, but I got Slovenia and Colombia. Not bad and a lot of fun. Especially on CW. #hamradio #amateruradio

Back at US-3511, the San Jacinto Battleground for another #POTA activation. Bands were better than they have been, but I got a lot of Texas stations today, which is unusual. CW has been a life saver in these conditions, too. #hamradio #amateurradio

I made 37 contacts from my patio today, using 50 watts into a wolf river coil setup, placed on top of my steel roof carport, which served nicely as a ground plane.

Just finished activating US-3511, the San Jacinto Battleground. Some really weird propagation today. but aside from all the US contacts, I managed Chile, Madeira Island, and Kiribati of all places. #amateurradio #POTA #hamradio

This week's @swradiogram.bsky.social , program #394. I've apparently got to tweak some settings on fldigi or something. A few of the images get split or discolored somehow. Still, a much better reception than usual at this time.

Pirate station Wolverine Radio just signed off on 6965 kHz with the following SSTV image. Tad bit noisy and QSSTV was giving me issues since I spent the entire afternoon reinstalling everything after a failed OS upgrade, but it copied OK anyway
