Fluorescent colors are a bit of a pain in the ass in miniature painting I’ve heard.
The paints are apparently inherently rather transparent so you need many very thin layers to get decent coverage.
I don’t use or have them, but supposedly the fluorescent paints by Vallejo are pretty decent.

The layout of Black Knight’s panels lines up pretty well with the RX-78 paint scheme iirc.
If you do go the Gundam route I think you’d be morally obligated to paint the sword in “beam saber pink” to complete the look.

Mechs are for a great game about cool fights but terrible at the parts of a planetary invasion that don’t involve blowing stuff up with maximum violence. A bit like tanks or aircraft in that regard.
Infantry and their supporting vehicles should still be the bulk of an invading or defensive force.

Cool, I was considering getting some Epic scale Rhinos from Legions Imperialis to use as APCs but these are really cool too. What kind of models are these?

It’s a good thing tho, a nice yardstick to measure how your skills have improved.

I was kinda sad to see that the model for Jake showed his age (I assume he’s 18 when the game starts in 3015) but they did not update Rihanna’s model. She must be 60+ by 3050. Maybe she went to Canopus for some Star League lostech grade plastic surgery in 3048 because she sure doesn’t look like it.

The yellow paint scheme was the deciding factor for me to pick the 3rd Fusiliers instead of the 1st Cuirassiers. It’s just such a pain in the ass to paint, although I’ve found Salamanders green to be almost impossible to get right with speed paints too.

I know a guy that owns a patch of forest near Arnhem where the trees a so riddled with shrapnel you can’t cut them down with a chainsaw because you run the risk of the chain snagging and breaking.
