Rail trip to Sardinia, part 10: abandoned cement plant at Scala di Giocca. Three rotation kilns were used till 2010 and from that time the whole factory is abandoned and guarded, awaiting its reincarnation.

Rail trip to Sardinia, part 9: lower of the two abandoned water reservoirs at Bunnari was built in 1878. The house in the picture was filled by sand filters and water from it flew to Sassari through a 5 km long tunnel (still there).

Rail trip to Sardinia, part 8: the abandoned water cascade of Lago del Bunnari consists of two ancient water dams built in 19th and 20th century. Both are officially inaccessible. The newer is equipped with a marble schedule naming Benito Mussolini.

This year there are only bits and pieces of snow in the Malá Fatra mountains 🇸🇰. But the sun is shining much better than below the foggy blanket.
