Part 2 is unpredictable because it is dishonest, it straight up ignores or contradicts established world building elements to drive the story in an unseen direction.
Feels unpredictable for the sake of it, even above being a cohesive story, which is why I think it's hard to be invested in it.

She seemed to think that the decapitation would have killed her. It's really stupid since she removed her organs without dying but I guess fuji needed a vague excuse to prompt Yoru to turn her into a weapon

To be fair Fujimoto misunderstands every western movie he talks about. American Sniper makes sense since it's rooted in 9/11 and gwot climate that he couldn't have experienced, but even if you don't know raymond chandler lebowski should be pretty self explanatory.

tbh this is just devil logic at play. No matter what their logic or principles seem to be, ultimately they'll always find a way to excuse and cope with any action. That's what Yoru even tried to teach Denji.
