Here on the west coast nobody getting up at 3:40am to watch lmao (I’ll be up but I work nights and don’t have cable but if I want to watch fascist agitprop I can just watch one of the baker’s dozen of Chinese state television instead, it’s more fun.

If PSA grades it, it counts. (Just graded an ’83 Topps Sticker Ripken)

Although their unique ability amongst the admin state to make unavailable anyone with standing does complicate things a lot, even post Loper Bright or tackling via non-delegation. DOGE should have defunded DHS first.

Just as a general matter, ICE-ERO have made claims in court that it is not a part of the Article III system, but they are working with agencies that are at least in part (DEA, ATF) and local LE. They aren't allowed to arrest or procure judicial warrants, so who's arresting who for what? Is there PC?

It's not in depth enough to be of real use, but it's a datapoint on infrapolitical movements that Scott wrote about after I left academia. The role of the Eurasian compradors cannot be understated. But with the govt having an official narrative it's just hard. It's like the Prince doc, but boring. 🤷‍♂️

Singaporean authorities and the Univ. gave zero support, SOAS had interest until the economy went up in smoke. I don't have a lot of regard for Gramsci which managed to alienate a lot both in history and area studies. James C. Scott was my advisor's advisor and read the thing, but he also passed.

But the Chinese records are sparse and some aren't in Singapore. The British records were almost like fiction. No governor spoke any local languages between 1824 and 1881. I graduated into the recession so there was no funding to continue research. I did get Trocki my material. He passed last year.

Since my school no longer exists thanks to a leveraged buyout during COVID and my data is in a drop box linked to an email that is dead I don't have an actual copy of the 120 pages I wrote, but parts of it is farcical, and raises the question of whether a hegemony can exist as pantomime.
June 15, 2025 at 3:34 AM
I've done something like that in the company/crown context in Singaporean history while having access to the records of the so-called "secret societies". Carl Trocki of course paved a lot of the ground, but the Chinese records never got proper treatment, since it makes everyone look bad.

Anarchism is a descriptive anti-ideology, not a prescriptive ideology. It’s not necessarily socialist, and you kind of swim in a sort of it. Many places are effectively anarchistic without officially statiing it, and the fact that it still exists is proof enough of its relevance, no?

Aw flagship has the dupe problem now too? Last year's Museum I ended up with this lot as part of the inserts/parallels in the case I got

Naw, but I'm an Angels fan, and also this was 25 years before I was born so

I was at boarding school so I missed that sorry.

Since AIs are designed to be black boxes (we know how they work, but don’t know what data is where at any given moment), it’s generally representative of what users are using it.
And I find the whole AI boom to be kind of weird. It’s not black magic. Ask what the backdoor to the US constitution is.
June 15, 2025 at 1:41 AM
You train it on religious stuff and the answers will come out religious. Simple as that. It’s mimicry.

I guess a lot of religious people be using it. I’ve been training different model since ’18 and they’re all jokes. It’s just code and data in the end. AI can’t tell if something is funny btw.

Sue the municipality. They’ll stop letting ICE run amok when their general funds wind down.

It’s just a gang war with white people nbd
June 15, 2025 at 1:18 AM
Wait until people realize that what ICE calls criminals are... mostly not actually criminals, but thanks to Chevron and ICE's ability to make anyone with a claim unavailable, they've backdoored the constitution to such an extent that they've managed to even confuse themselves. But still just cops.

In general, it can probably be said that the conservative does not object to coercion or arbitrary power so long as it is used for what he regards as the right purposes. He believes that if government is in the hands. of decent men, it ought not to be too much restricted by rigid rules...

It’s cheaper than you imagine. I’m on govdeals and GSA auctions and similar government surplus sites mostly to buy baseball cards (long story) but you can buy not only police gear in bulk but entire decommissioned airbases at surprisingly low rates.
