Just read Italo Calvino's *The Path to the Spider's Nest*. Fascinating to read after that he intended every Partisan to be the worst person he could think just to make the point they were still better than Fascists

@darrenhayman.bsky.social I tell them I hope everything goes well for your album. They correct me and say they are there for a single. I heard 100s of takes for the same boring rock song for a solid maddening week. That single never had even modest sales and split up before recording an album 2/2

@darrenhayman.bsky.social I worked in the same building as 1990's Fort Apache studios in Cambridge MA (although it was after the Fort Apache people moved on). One day met 4 lads from Nova Scotia who were in for the week. 1/2

Dadetown. Just noticed it's 100% on Rotten Tomatoes. Russ Hexter's death at a young age was such a tragedy.

So this is one Ishiguro I have not read. I look forward to listening to this one in a few weeks when I finish reading it.

And was just talking to my friend who is a wonderful seasonal ranger earlier this week. Horrible about the purge.

This is the first Candidate CD I bought. Bought because the title seemed to be a sign (bought it in Dublin while staying at Skylon hotel) and just loved it.

Once went hiking in Maine on property adjacent to Poland Spring's main bottling plant. Was on nice hike but ran into massive landfill site right next to Poland Spring.
