Well if we had not understood fully - now there is no doubt. As far as America supporting Ukraine is concerned - “a friend in need is a friend in debt” America can help, but only if there is something in it for America. The world needs to stop dancing with the devil.

At FMQ yesterday John Swinney said the overall poverty related attainment gap had been reduced by 60% since 2009/10. I thought the evidence was that the gap has not been reduced, in fact it has widened in some areas.

@johnswinney.bsky.social This is very disappointing!
FOI reveals that John Swinney rejected civil service advice to correct the Official Report of the Scottish Parliament, after misleading it with false statistic on renewables. The UK Statistics Authority intervened, forcing him to send letters to MSPs. www.these-islands.co.uk/publications...
Slippery Swinney
John Swinney says one thing in public, but does quite another in private.

When the SNP government came to power.One of their main aims was that Scotland would be the best. place for children to grow up. We have so many children living in poverty and record levels of children in homeless accommodation. This is a disgrace! Unacceptable
There are over 10,110 children living in temporary accommodation in Scotland. How can a family feel safe and secure knowing they might have to move again?

Unless Scotland gets the social homes we so desperately need, that number will only grow.

At FMQ John Swinney detailed the positive things the government has done to support NHS. Clearly though the government approach is inadequate and he needs to accept this is a crisis

Streetvet featured on BBC news this morning. Homeless people really take care of their dogs feeding them before they eat themselves. Often they can not access accommodation or hostels as many won’t accept pets

Stephen Boyle, Auditor General
said a fundamental change in how NHS services are provided remains urgent.The @scotgov needs to set out how it will deliver reform & how progress will be measured and monitored.
John Swinney says @scotgov has a clear plan.Maybe it is a secret plan.

@PaulMcLennan the UK government has set a deadline for removal of dangerous cladding from buildings in England over 11m. Has @scotgov set a deadline for remov- it is reported around 5,500 private and public buildings in Scotland country taller than 11m (36ft) have flammable cladding.

The Audit Scotland report “Fiscal sustainability and reform in Scotland”published today paints a worrying picture. The report is highly critical of the Scottish Government.

Increase in demand for families with children for food parcels. Scottish Government aim is that Scotland is the best place for children to grow up. It clearly is not! This needs urgent attention.They have power to make changes if they choose to!
