I mean, it was bound to happen sooner or later. I've hit the lower edge of cloud formation. No big deal, it's all just water, after all. ^^

Jim, now 6,400 feet tall, is finally high enough to reach the lowest of clouds. Said clouds are able to get in his face, making it more difficult to see where he's going. "Ah, so this is the part where my head is in the clouds, huh?" he says, jokingly.

Jim, at 3,200ft, lifts up a small chunk of land to his face so he can have a better conversation with the person atop it. The land has Raine Silverlock standing out front of a small dinner. Raine: "JIM!? When did you get so big?!" Jim: "Eh, it's been happening over the year." Raine: "... and why are you so... disintegrate-y?" Jim: "Just relaxing. Not focusing on keeping myself together." Raine: "Wait, and how did you lift the diner?" Jim: "Protodites are REALLY tiny.~ ... Don't ask how the lights are still on."

... until I finally figured out nanites. Instead of replacing huge chunks and lacking the sensory I desire, replace things piece by piece on a granular level.

Nanites just FEEL right for my case.

As much as I love cool tech aesthetics and loved cyborg looks when I was a kid, I grew up to realize something vital: when you replace an organic part for metal, you loose ALL that tactile sensory along the entire length.

So that held me back from getting anything like this sorta thing, before...

For anything further, it is a verbal stim on the same level as 'peek-a-boo', I'd offer.

It is something to keep their developing minds engaged.

Now, I will not step any farther than this on the good or bad of the effect on a developing mind. That is best left to the professionals.

Occam's razor.

'6 7' does not have any real meaning. It is just a random pair or digits that won't the fame lottery today.

Why do kids do it? For attention, of course.
How to counter it? Treat them with due respect.

Litterally had one kid try and pull that on me and I just gave dead response.

Taking a rest at Stone Mountain, @magisteraeon.bsky.social and I get to have a little chat, catching up on things. He seems to like the protodites and letting myself go a little... (well, maybe a lot here). ^^;

Jim, the wolfsune, and Magister Aeon, the kitsune, are lounging against Stone Mountain. Jim is on the left, sitting upside down with his feet in the air while his tendrils and tails are splayed behind and around him on the ground. Magister's tails are laid out behind him, over and around the other side of the mountain. They are having a nice conversation while positioned almost like a ying-yang style.
