I think there's a public assumption that precons are this onramp product for new players and pretty much the only box they check is that they're relatively available if you buy them shortly after they're released. Sometimes.

This way you wouldn't need to devote an entire set of SKUs to the project, but there's a clear onramp to the format for people who are also learning Magic, and the curated decklists could be designed specifically to use straightforward cards from recent sets that are readily available.

...basic Magic strategies. Archetypes like typal, tokens + anthems, stompy, control. Then I would release sample decklists for how you could build a Commander deck around these legends. They'd be decks that are intended to teach you basic concepts like how combat and priority work.

I think I'd focus on the Commander onboarding process. It's really overwhelming to jump into the most complicated game in the world via its most complicated format.

Yeah HELL yeah. If you have any problems with them shutting off randomly lmk, we have done a lot of troubleshooting on them and have the settings in a good place.

Although I should probably add that this is not exactly an apples-to-apples comparison because we were not Ambassadors and did not get early access to Spider-Man, so our episodes came out later. This might just be demonstrating how important it is to capture the popularity wave.
