skiing in -20F is fun: squeaky snow! Mind you that's also no exposed skin temperatures, at least for alpine skiing.

The elimination of essentially all of the exemptions to jury service by Chief Judge Kaye made a huge difference in the effective size of the jury pool.

All wheel spin does is polish the tire-shaped impressions your tires are in. You're much better off if you can avoid it. If possible start in second gear not first to prevent wheel spin.

If you're in an actual snow bank, digging the snow out will yield the fastest results.

I'd be worried about water intrusion through the slab and what that means for how much damage is occurring through freeze-thaw cycles.

Just think of all the uses for the sports-championship-light-pole-lube.

At the individual doing it casually level, yes. Larger scale "professional" flippers shouldn't be eligible for anything like a conventional mortgage anyway so their financing is already (or should be, barring fraud in the loan documents) different.

Is the massive hit to mobility this would cause intentional or just ignored? I'm sure the fact that this would move a big fraction of real estate appreciation away from home owners and to investors is intentional.

Do you also stand in the winding checkout line with one of your feet back and up on a toe so when the person behind you hits it with their cart it doesn't get you right in your achilles?

Or would you then (potentially) have to litigate that the timestamp on the receipt is just as valid as any postmark date?

What's normal practice, just standard first-class mail or certified which does require standing in line but gets you a receipt with timestamp from the post office?

In case it encourages you, after a humerus break just below the shoulder (no surgery) it was about 6 months of twice weekly PT and daily exercises on my own to regain range of motion and strength. I got lucky and the first PT I saw was a good match and understood how hard to push me to progress.

They're supposed to go in a station wagon so you don't need so much fiber

Computing has one major input: electricity and one major output: heat. Computing converts approximately all of the electricity into heat. On earth we use air and water from the environment around the data center to remove the heat. In space only radiation is available and that's much harder.

Thanks. I must have misremembered the outcome of that lobbying effort.

I thought the big credit card issuers has lobbied for and gotten a law that made credit card debt one of the things special cased in personal bankruptcy?

A friend and his kids used to have storm troopers and other suchlike action figures holding said elf at blaster-point. I thought this was a brilliant solution.

The deals are also (at least as described in the show) totally slanted with all the power on their side in spite of theirs being the vastly smaller investment. They set the supposed break-even price and act as the selling agent so get that commission on top.
