Being in the Faroe Islands is weird because it’s light for 22 hours but you never see the sun. But this morning? We got one precious hour of sunshine and it was glorious.

We see signs like this a fair bit in airports while traveling. It basically says be careful if you’ve got a job offer in certain countries saying you’ll be rich, it might be a scam, and you may never come back. Anyways, I’m sure the labor for Disney Abu Dhabi construction will be fine

The saddest part of being in Japan this long is seeing the cherry blossoms start to fall. It’s beautiful to watch, a great reminder of the fleeting nature of the world, but really sad to see full bloom pass.

There is nothing like Sakura season in Japan. Everyone is just so happy to be outside, finding a tree to picnic under with family and friends, watching the kids run around. You can just feel how much people cherish and anticipate these days of full bloom.

The woman we stayed with has been acquiring abandoned homes in her area and working to restore them. She truly made us feel like family, and even staying in a town with one restaurant and a donut shop, we found ourselves wanting to stay for weeks. Can’t wait to come back!

Last night in Taiwan spent at one of our favorite night markets. Raohe is a great spot to end time here, because you know you’ll find a good version of everything you’ve loved in other places. Two weeks here has flown by and cemented this as a favorite country, but 6 weeks in Japan softens the blow
