Waste Knights 2nd ed. this evening for a refresher solo game. I was thinking about moving this one on, but there is something pleasing about the resource management, card play and narrative elements that makes me want to try again with a group.

Clank! In! Space! this evening. Haven't played this in 2 years but still found it enjoyable. Straight deck builders are a little lacking nowadays, so appreciate the extra things this game brings into it.
Eradicus got me a space away from escape, revenge for his earlier defeat...

Played a game of Star Wars Outer Rim, which hasn't hit the table since it was released 6 years ago...
Forgot how good this game is and the fun of the narrative dissonance that can occur (Solo took a job from Grand Admiral Thrawn in one notable!). Won't wait 6 years to play again!

Played V-Sabotage today - WWII commandos is definitely a theme I love in gaming, but it fell flat for me in solo a few months ago.
Today we played a 4 player game and it really revealed the enjoyment - we failed today but it captured a place in the collection for future missions!

Haven't painted in a while so eased back into #shadowsofbrimstone Forbidden Fortress with the living statues - didn't like the verdigris effect from a bottle so went with copper and a green dry brush, then copper again. May add an ink to force the details like the art, can't decide.

Played Halloween on Halloween! Myers won both games, the second came down to the last turn before Laurie was killed on the way to the escape vehicle.
One of the great licenced games for play matching theme, thoroughly recommended!

Great night at the board game club, played Wasteland Express Delivery Service as the main event, then a couple of games of Campy Creatures.
Let the Bandit down with some terrible dice rolls and came last in WEDS, but managed a win in CC with a formidable collection of assistants!

With Ripley captured, Vasquez had to step into the Power Loader with support from Hudson, Apone, Ferro and Frost. Drake was sucked out the airlock, but they ejected the Queen in the end!

Ran some games of Cthulhu Death May Die for www.easthertsgamers.co.uk charity day for Mind (the mental health charity) which in hindsight may not have been entirely appropriate, but everybody had fun!
Saw some other great games being played, and also did quite well in the raffle!

Ran some games of Cthulhu Death May Die for www.easthertsgamers.co.uk charity day for Mind (the mental health charity) which in hindsight may not have been entirely appropriate, but everybody had fun!

First time dealing with the Silver Twilight Lodge (despite seeing them mentioned across the IP) this one had some interesting wrinkles along the way (without spoiling anything!) but wasn't too difficult for new investigators.

Played some solo Nemesis today, to try out the new 'constructs' pack and make some judgements on painting the miniatures.
Not sure I'm sold on the escape pods/engines/coordinate computer - they look great on the table but not sure they add anything apart from fiddliness...

Got Auztralia to the table today - one of Martin Wallace's lesser known titles, but always great!
Definitely the most unusual Cthulhu themed game in my collection, and the only railway game - the action selection mechanism is excellent, with each action's time affecting turn order.
