Metaphor’s approach to fear and anxiety also deeply resonated with me. These emotions are often seen as negative—something to be eliminated. But the game tells us that it’s through facing our anxieties, learning to live with them, and even striving to overcome them that true strength comes from.

This is going to stick with me for a while. It leaves a lasting reminder for those of us who love stories and often have our heads in the clouds to not idealize fantasies to the extent that we lose sight of the value and beauty in our own realities. I love this game.
