Every time Ozzy said "I love you all" I believed him. Thank you Ozzy for showing us that you can wear your heart on your sleeve, express your emotions, tell people you love them, and still be the Prince Of Darkness.

I think what I loved about him most was that he was the opposite of the toxic masculinity that plagues the genre. He was a kind and gentle soul who loved music and his family more than anything.

Fast forward a few years later and I was obsessed with Ozzy. I was angry that I believed the bullshit. Ozzy was not this demon monster these trolling media pundits portrayed him to be.

I was terrified of Ozzy when I was a kid. During the 80s, the media was full-on blaming tragic suicides on Heavy Metal "satanic" music and singled out bands like Judas Priest and Ozzy. My adolescent smooth brain drank all of this kool-aid nonsense.

Apparently the secret to vocal longevity is Cheetos. Absolute legends.

And I absolutely love it.
