Okay. I dig your sentiment. I applaud it even. But the pedant in me has to point out that it’s not. Fascists were not a thing in 1918 and the soldiers in WW 1 were not fighting fascists. We can fight fascists without making things up.

There’s a lack of a coherent opposition to the regime, the regime is now fully in control of the legal parts of the government. That’s all vastly different from 2020. Most Americans are whistling past the graveyard. Thoughts and prayers are not enough. There are no remaining guardrails.

In 2020 there was at list an indication that republicans were listening to court rulings. Now they opening disregard the rulings. They have deployed a para military force on the streets that they have explicitly stated will be used to “ police” polling stations. Explicit shameless gerrymandering.

This, my friend is not 2020. You should keep up on current events.
