Warrant of Execution:

BREAKING: Despite concerns about execution protocols, and claims of expired lethal injection drugs, the Arizona Supreme Court has granted a warrant of execution for Aaron Gunches. The execution, set for March 19, will be the first after a two-year moratorium.

Sheriff's Office tried to shut down the first Melendres community meeting of newly elected Sheriff Sheridan's tenure citing recent protests, but federal judge ordered them to proceed. Sheriff's spox on scene told me there were no specific threats of violence.

Outside of a community meeting re: Melendres civil rights litigation in Guadalupe, a community severely impacted by the Maricopa County Sheriff's racial profiling that generated the lawsuit. MCSO tried to cancel meeting but judge denied:

"Sheridan, escucha, estamos en la lucha."
