If you want safer roads, remove as many cars and trucks from said roads. Simple. No amount of "safety upgrades" will ever top what rail improvements and extensions can.

Hopefully you guys remember just how benefficial ($$$$) EVs are to Australia, and you won't put extra taxes on them whilst allowing gas-guzzling yank-tanks to take over.

Not a good comparison, it didn’t have quite the same stopping pattern. With a few minor fixes, the Newcastle trip could be much quicker, but road improvements = votes, apparently.

Reminds me of this August 2015 Tweet from Rupert Murdoch opining that the Great Barrier Reef (GBR) looked fine to him (at a time of debate about the prospect of a coral bleaching event that summer)
