Currently disappointed in my University and their decision to seemingly bend the knee to a grifter with the writing level of a 5th grader. The paper was bad enough with no citations and the fact that it didn't answer the question, but I lost it at the fact that she DIDN'T EVEN INDENT HER PARAGRAPHS.

WHY?
On July 2025, Steam, a popular storefront to purchase games on PC, and itch.io, a storefront that sells
games, comics, tools, resources and much more, have recently delisted several NSFW games, after the
group Collective Shout published an open letter to payment processors such as Visa, MasterCard, PayPal,
and more. As a result of this letter, payment processors have strongarmed Valve and itch.io into enforcing
restrictive new TOS policies on what kind of content their platforms can host and sell.

Visa, Mastercard, Stripe and Paypal have been censoring free speech and legal business on the internet for TOO LONG. Their most recent targets are Steam and Itch.io, but they have also been pressuring websites like Pixiv, Patreon, Fansly, Onlyfans and MORE for years, applying draconian standards for what kind of adult/pornographic content platiorms and their users can host and sell.

If we as consumers and creators want to regain ground on this issue, we have to make our voice heard.

HOW?
BOMBARD THEM WITH PHONE CALLS
Collective Shout, the organization that lobbied to have Steam and Itch.io change their TOS, did so with only around 1000 phone calls. Visa and MC have backed down from pressuring Onlyians to remove adult content entirely due to public backlash. Clogging their phone lines for an extended perlou, over a mont at the absolute least, will almost gudrantee that these compantes will at least have to pay attention to the backlash. this list is not exhaustive. but some contact points for the 4 targets are:

JKR is funding life-destroying legislation. When you license HP and put it on your product, the money you pay to do that is literally ruining lives. This isn't ambiguous, it is direct, measurable harm. I will never give a penny to a company who chooses money over the lives of my friends.

My thoughts

A Facebook post stating "The craziest thing to me about Muskrat's Coup and the people defending it is that if Rump truly cared about potential misappropriation of tax dollars, he could have had the Republican Majority Congress exercise their constitutional Power of the Purse in order to legally make cuts, instead, he's allowing a walking, talking conflict of interest and insider threat to send goons out to violate security protocol and access the PII of not only millions of people, but also government contractors who directly compete with Musk's own companies.

The most common defense I've seen has been to accuse Democrats of wasting or even stealing tax money, but even if that were the justification, it doesn't change the fact that the President has no authority to end funding that has been appropriated by Congress, or start funding without Congressional approval. If the justification is that "Congress is too corrupt to fix it," then why aren't conservatives questioning their own representatives? Do they not trust them to do the right thing? They have the majority, so shouldn't they be able to end the supposed misappropriation?

The answer is that ol' Donny T doesn't care about the constitution and the strict separation of powers/checks and balances that it puts in place. He is making unilateral decisions, regardless of legality, that have effects on not only the entire citizenry of the US, but also the entire world. There is a word for someone like that.
