I’ve so enjoyed being back in Japan since mid-April, but alas, my time is coming to an end and I return to London on Saturday. I’m always grateful that I can spend time here. Huge thanks to Waseda University’s Institute for Advanced Studies who hosted me!

Well, I’ll get to Denver for #AAAL2025 32 hours later than planned but I’m on my way! So disappointed to miss our Global Englishes and TESOL colloquium at 8am on day one but at least I’ll be there for day two!

Absolutely brilliant seminar this evening for the UCL Centre for Applied Linguistics on algorithmic mining analysis using Natural Language Processing and Machine Learning techniques by this sociology team from Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznan. Reconceptualizing ‘reviewing the literature’!
