Didn't he also receive the First Annual Charles Montgomery Burns Award for Outstanding Achievement in the Field of Excellence?

Came here to ask this.

Forgetting for the moment that generative AI can't spell worth a damn, or that it's obviously a hand lettered sign, for what purpose would someone fake up a library sign? To fraudulently make those horrible librarians look like they actually care about people finding books? Explain that to me please

Doesn't look like a photo? You mean you think it's AI? I'm not sure why someone would fake up a library sign but here's a different crop of the same obvious photo.

You're thinking of anchovies, that's what goes on pizza, those things are sardines. Don't get me wrong, they still smell but please get your smelly fish right.

My mom threw out my mid to late 60s baseball cards and I'm still grieving that.
November 21, 2025 at 12:43 PM
Norm, I wasn't arguing either, we can be friends. But serious question, do you think they maybe charge you a higher APR to make up the difference or is it the same as your other cards? [If you don't mind my asking.]

Please tell me none of those post it notes have passwords on them.

This is true but like 70% of new amex accounts have an annual fee, and most of their marketing is aimed at heavy spenders which just reinforces the exclusive image. Also, visa/mc aren't card issuers, amex is, their business models are different.
November 20, 2025 at 7:40 PM
Amex has an annual fee, MC/visa usually don't, which sort of maintains that division. Amex trends more toward upper income and business travelers. Most atm cards are MC/visa.
