No mystery. It's a tray of grilled chicken. Not sure why it was hurtling through space though.

Recuperating from an op and spinning Soft Cell's newly recorded, excellent cover version of Suicide's "Ghost Rider", featuring J.G. "Foetus" Thirlwell, which landed on my doorstep today. A fitting epitaph for Dave Ball (RIP).

R.I.P. Dave Ball. Great loss to electronic music. His autobiography Electronic Boy is also well worth a read - erudite, forthright and witty.

First time tonight in about 20 years that I've seen John Hegley live and delighted to report he's still as great as ever.

New HAAi album Humanise is excellent. Balances kooky electronica and banging techno at just the right level, with more distinct and emotional vocals than her last LP. Capsule review: blissfully wistful/wistfully blissful. And it's on @muterecords.bsky.social, indisputably the best label there is. 🙂

Only good thing about the latest Mission Impossible is all the American tourists who will now be baffled why they can't find Trafalgar Square tube station.

I've had a couple of entries in Profanisaurus (prawn penknife, miser's fist), but unlike your impressive recent run I've never had much luck with letters. Was particularly disappointed this gem I spotted in Berlin the other year never made it in to Up The Arse Corner...
