It’s like all those things count for nothing if you’re not married, and it’s tough to shake that feeling. I don’t want to be looked down on or feel like I’m missing something important just because I haven’t found the right person yet.

Society places so much emphasis on being married and having kids—like nothing else matters if you’re not in that traditional life stage, no matter how successful you become or how many degrees you earn.

It’s frustrating because I’m not sure where to meet someone who matches what I’m looking for, and I’m starting to feel like it’s never going to happen. The thing is, I really do want to get married and settle down.

It feels like finding someone who checks those boxes is so hard, and the proposals I’ve gotten so far just don’t feel right.
I don’t think my standards are that high—these qualities just seem normal to me.

I keep thinking that maybe some Prince Charming will magically show up at my door and sweep me off my feet, but deep down I know that’s not how things work.
All I really want is a guy who is funny, good-looking, rich, and taller than me. Is that too much to ask?
