Option 2 as the compiler will enforce you handle none. Option one of you deleted the None handling it will still compile.

I went down a rabbit hole on this today as well. For desktop/mobile I hope to use Keychain crate. No poc yet there. For web, I plan to go SPA style with no backend. I will store tokens in localStorage since auth0 supports refresh rotation. auth0.com/docs/secure/...
