A lot of people are saying Charlie Kirk was a free speech advocate. This is not true. He was a consequence-free speech advocate. Huge difference.

He didn’t deserve to die but don’t make him into something he was not.

Stupid question: where are all of those NRA types who insist that they need their guns in case it’s necessary to rise up against tyranny, now that the government is acting tyrannical?

Gee. Who could have predicted that the one-time Florida AG who dropped charges against Trump in exchange for a campaign donation might later end up hiding Trump’s involvement with Jeffrey Epstein?

Isn’t it strange that when California has wildfires, Trump says it’s California’s fault because of “forest management” but the floods in Texas aren’t because of levee management?

The New York Times is letting readers vote for their favorite movies of the 21st century. With the caveat that there’s a really long list of movies I haven’t seen (but want to) because I was raising two kids, here’s what I voted for.

I’m not saying this will happen but isn’t it at least possible that increased military spending by NATO allies could result in a net loss to the US economy? Right now, US spending on defense goes to US contractors. If other countries use their own, wouldn’t that mean less revenue to US firms?

I think it’s safe to say that I’ve got a better chance at winning the Miss America pageant, than Donald Trump has of winning the Nobel Peace Prize.

Let me make sure I’ve got this right: Trump pulled out of the Iran nuclear deal, causing Iran to increase its nuclear research, creating the problem the world now faces. So he bombs Iran without congressional approval to solve it. And he’s acting like he deserves credit for this?

Oh give me a home where the buffalo roam

The more I think about it, the more I realize that there are three kinds of people with regard to the Trump administration’s policies towards immigration:
1. People who aren’t informed of what’s happening
2. People who are outraged at what’s happening
3. Evil people

#Severance may very well be a great show. I wouldn’t know. I tried to watch the pilot when it first came out but I had to stop after about fifteen minutes because the cinematography gave me a horrible headache.

Okay. That’s funny. The AP is reporting that, because of DEI purges, the Pentagon had to take down pictures of the Enola Gay, the plane that dropped the bomb on Hiroshima.

The right wing mediasphere keeps harping on a perception that the democrats didn’t applaud a 15 year old boy with cancer.

It doesn’t take much to track down the truth. Trump made DJ Daniel an honorary secret service agent and everyone applauded.

The complainers are just wrong.

So Trump signed an executive order declaring English to be the official language of the United States.

Fine.

Could someone please let me know when he actually starts speaking English?

Why is it that Trump and Putin meeting to discuss ending the war in Ukraine, feels an awful lot like when Trump met with the Taliban to discuss ending our involvement in Afghanistan? In both cases they knowingly excluded the sitting government that was being fought over.

I’ve seen a meme that tries to justify Musk’s gesture by showing pictures of various democratic politicians with their arms raised.

This meme misses vital context. A single still of a video can easily capture that gesture from anyone. Watch the video of Musk: it’s a Nazi salute. Twice. Period.

My thoughts and prayers go out for all of the opinion pieces we’re about to see that reference Grover Cleveland.

A lot of people are talking about Season 2 of #Severance. I tried watching the pilot back when it first came out and had to turn it off after about fifteen minutes because it made me dizzy.

It might be a great show but the cinematography made it literally unwatchable for me.

Here’s a radical idea for the USA:
Before we talk about annexing any other sovereign nations (Canada, Greenland, Panama, etc), how about granting statehood to those US territories (especially Puerto Rico and Washington DC) that have been asking for a while?

The hypocrisy of Trump supporters is amazing. During the campaign they falsely crowed about him not starting any wars but now they’re all in on taking Canada, Greenland, and Panama. By force if necessary.

If you need any more evidence that astrology is bullshit, look no further than the fact that both Greta Thunberg and Kyle Rittenhouse both celebrated their 22nd birthday two days ago.

Just remember: you can’t spell “I’m corrupt” without TRUMP.
