Hundreds of thousands laid off, little no notice, no reasons. Hundreds of thousands will struggle to pay their mortgages, pay for college; dreams shattered. Someone must echo the words of Joseph Welch: “I think I never really gauged your cruelty or your recklessness…Have you no sense of decency?"

The first thing Dems should be doing right now is listening. Party leaders should initiate a listening tour to meet with and listen to Democrats and recent Democrats who voted for Trump. Start in union halls. Ask one simple question: how can we win you back?
