ADDENDUM! The flight that was originally supposed to be delayed 2 hours took off 28 mins late. My bag will now arrive 30 mins before me.

I arrive in San Diego at 9:40. My bag arrives (hopefully!) at 10:45. My hotel was understanding, but needs me to check in before 12. So I might have to arrive, get an Uber, check in, get an Uber back and get my bag. UGH!!!

Local people: "Oh, you should have talked to us first. Your bag is still getting there on the original flight an hour after you arrive" SO NOW...

Call Southwest. "Hey I already checked my bag but can I switch to a later direct flight?"
No problem
New flight is booked. "And my bag?'
Oh, talk to the local people...

Dealer comped my Lyft to the airport and the trip, check-in + security take less than 30 mins... only to get notified that bad weather in Texas has delayed my flight by 3 hours. WE'RE NOT DONE
