What was interesting for me was that Derek Rae @raecomm.bsky.social who I’ve a lot of respect for, was very complimentary of him and said that some teams in Germany were interested so thought it was a good appointment. Having seen him though I wonder if game here suits him like you say.

Only 5 points better off than last season as well after spending so much money that clubs above us and just below us don’t have yet it’s a success!! Only thing that can save this season is a win next week which I just canny see. Even after game interviews with Thelin he seems “lost” for explanation.

A lot to do with the start we had when Thelin tactics took everyone by surprise but once they sussed us it was all downhill from there and I’m not sure one or two new players for next season going to make enough improvement to save him eventually. Hope I’m wrong but can’t see it.

Doesn’t mean to say it’s not their reserve team because there’s probably only one in the starting 11 that’ll play from the start of the cup final.

Have concerns some are going back. One of the biggest is Devlin who looks nothing like he was last season when he was one of our best defenders and marauding up and down the wing. Also seriously concerned at the lack of game time for our youngsters who can’t be as bad as some Thelin persists with.

Brilliant to see the football boots with the laces wrapped around them. Remember it well when boots weighed a “ton”.
