I despise whoever calls themselves "religious" and practices citizenship malpractice by deferring to a dictator wannabe.

I respect a man--a politician--who is avowedly religious but still shoulders the responsibility of critical thought. I'd even vote for him for president.

In The Hunger Games, all regions sent tribute to a corrupt, venal Capital. We sympathized with their plight. But what if the regions deserved it? What if they threw away their freedom, generations ago, by electing a dictator? And now their descendants regret their ancestors' error. So sorry.

Is it just me, or does anyone else think fines and prison time could be levied against President Musk for data theft on a gargantuan scale?

We might could balance the budget this way.

I wanted my daughters to develop "money sense" but didn't want to overwhelm them. So when they bought stuff, I covered things like tax.

A lot of people seem mad now the world isn't as simple as they "remember" it.

Psst: It never was. Someone just insulated you from reality when you were younger.

According to credible sources, Trump's IQ is 73. I find that easy to believe.

Abortion foes are just trying to buy virtue points on the cheap. Like lazy students who never study and then cram before a final exam, they ignore everything else that's wrong in the world and the things they could be doing that take thought or work.

But by golly they protect helpless children!

A lot of people think everything will work out if we just play by the rules but don’t seem to recognize that rules only matter when everyone agrees to follow them and, well, that isn’t our present reality.

I’m sure DOGE will fix this by firing everyone and putting Tesla autopilot units in charge of directing and piloting planes

Kind of telling that rightwingers get furious when you mention leaving for Bluesky… but those on the left couldn’t care less if conservatives left our feeds. Almost like Republicans know that the value of a platform comes from having the left there.

Abortion. Why not? Cuz it prevents a life. OK. Is that the same as, It prevents a soul? Yes? OK. What if a soul can wait and catch the next bus, er, fetus? What if SOULS CAN WAIT? Then abortion does not prevent them. Then why not abortion? Why not give a soul a better ride?

The latest appointment announcements confirm our president-elect is exactly as suspected:

Sharp as a marble, deep as a saucer.
