So today marks the start of a week of intensive activity from the @MetTaskforce in the West End in @MPSWestminster.

The day began with activity tracking and arresting offenders wanted for offending in Westminster. 6 hard to reach offenders arrested.

I got to meet one of our new recruits today.

One of our future @MetTaskforce search dogs scampered into my office and brought a smile to my face

Another bit of great work by S.E Territorial Support Group working with Central North BCU, our officers executed 2 warrants under the Misuse of Drugs Act. Occupant tried to dispose of evidence as our officers went in. Estimated £120k worth of class A drugs recovered. #U44 #U45

Officers from South East Territorial Support Group spotted a suspect in #NewCross who made off on an E bike. Stopped & arrested for drug supply.

A search of his home found 200 wraps of cocaine along with an offensive weapon.

Great work by #U41 & PD Frank & his handler.

I had the pleasure of going out with some of my team today patrolling Westminster.

We came across a male wanted, having been recalled to prison. He was arrested after a short chase and efforts to give false details.

26 years today since my course passed out of Hendon.

Fantastic class. Including a colleague who took his own life on duty some years ago who will always be remembered.

There have been some hard days, but on reflection, I would do it all again in a heartbeat.

So, looking at my unit's work returns. On Friday night, officers from South East Territorial Support Group stopped a man in #Deptford after a search he was found with drugs and a knife.

So today, some excellent work by one of my teams.

Last night, they were patrolling in Catford Town Centre when a man was seen on CCTV with a large knife.

The team deployed, and the man was detained, and the knife recovered.

Some great work.

Good to host colleagues today from the USA Portland Police, Oregan & Frisco Police, Texas, as well as Royal Canadian Mounted Police. Discussing Public Order/Public Safety Policing and the Specialist Capabilities that the Met Taskforce brings to Policing London.

Received my Coronation Medal today from Commander Stevens at Bromley.
It's nice to see the Met putting effort into making staff receiving the award feel valued.

Officers from the South East Territorial Support Group patrolling in Lewisham today responded to a call involving 4 men with a knife.

After a foot chase, they were detained & several weapons recovered.

I am proud of the men & women I work with who put themselves in harms way to keep people safe.

Back to Public Order Training today for Level 1 training with Territorial Support Group officers from all 4 bases.

A good couple of incidents refreshing the skills and tactics needed to deal with the worst-case scenario.

First glimpse of the new service flag with the Kings Cypher, as a new one is delivered to the Met Taskforce Mounted Branch Training Establishment.

Territorial Support Group officers have been working hard to support Front Line Policing & making arrests, seizing dangerous weapons, & large quantities of drugs.

#U43 assisted officers from Specialist Crime by arresting a dangerous wanted man & recovered £18k cash & £20k worth of class A drugs.
