I also don’t think it is either or: experts will use large models to develop and train smaller more efficient models for particular tasks. Either way, what will everyone else do for work?

It isn’t a hopeful perspective, but it does help put the scale of the challenge in perspective. History does not bend towards justice on its own. People in every age need to fight for justice and build a culture of democracy. We can look to history for inspiration in the fight instead of comfort.
