I'm embarrassed. While rushing to meet a deadline for this, I grossly understated a number. Rather than a manned mission to Mars costing 10 to 20 times what a robotic mission does, it's estimated that it will be 35 to 185 times more...half a TRILLION $. Kill Elon's dreams while they're in embryo!
If Elon Musk wants to send humans to Mars, he and his new conservative buddies can pay for it themselves.
