How’d they do that?

As an Arsenal fan I can say it isn't the most exciting football I've ever seen, if it gets us a title I'll be delighted.
Yes, teams play a low block against us often, the same as most teams at the top.

Liverpool fans gave up winning the title a long time ago so I get why they are enjoying the chaos, kinda where I was with Arsenal for the last 20 yrs(minus the last 3.5)-having said that we did enjoy the last minute winners(B'mouth\Aston Villa come to mind)-more jeopardy=more risk, not good for titles

“Reply-guy” aka someone that disagrees with a comment
February 4, 2026 at 9:57 PM
I did retain it, you repeated it - that was the problem.

Couldn't read it, behind a paywall
So you've got Graeme Souness joining you in your crusade against thuggery - not sure you've thought this one through.
The quotes from the ref hadn't nothing to do with what we've been discussing. I'm assuming you watch the after match analysis-who agrees with you?
February 4, 2026 at 2:29 PM
A screenshot of your opinion that I disagree with - thanks.
February 4, 2026 at 2:03 PM
Name the professionals that agree with you.
February 4, 2026 at 2:02 PM
No arguing required, I'm just watching, so are the refs and the VAR team - they don't agree with what you are saying, neither do the commentators, ex-players, pundits and journalists - just you.
Makes you think, doesn't it (?).
February 4, 2026 at 1:57 PM
Seriously! If you think blocking a player is thuggery maybe you should watch table tennis instead.
Have you never watched a match from 30+ years ago?!
February 4, 2026 at 1:52 PM
"intellectually honest" - wow.
There is usually contact, usually initiated by the keeper, sometimes by the defender, sometimes by the Arsenal player - all normal stuff that has been going on for years *by all teams*, not sure why you are troubled by it tbh.
February 4, 2026 at 1:46 PM
We were? Don't think so.
Typically Arsenal put a player (or two) on the keeper to restrict his movement, they don't barge into him, although there is usually contact (as do most teams).
February 4, 2026 at 1:42 PM
It wasn't, but whatever.
Also - "line judges" - are we talking about the same sport?
February 4, 2026 at 1:25 PM
Nice straw man, you smashed it down; good work.
February 4, 2026 at 1:22 PM
You should have read it before you posted it
February 4, 2026 at 12:41 PM
Awesome.
Any update on the rule around GK and players having to get out of their way?
February 4, 2026 at 11:39 AM
It’s an opinion I suppose, not shared by many, but don’t let that stop you.

At the start you were justifying labelling Arsenal as “thugs” - any regrets?
February 4, 2026 at 9:10 AM
Another theory is arsenal are good at corners, put that into your model and see what you get
February 4, 2026 at 8:24 AM
How cutting
February 4, 2026 at 7:47 AM
Maybe players don’t have to get out of the gk way, did you consider that in your model?
Unless you know of a rule that I don’t?
February 4, 2026 at 7:47 AM
TL;DR
So your theory is that every ref forgets what a foul is at a corner for Arsenal games, and the following week they remember?

February 3, 2026 at 11:04 PM
Examples from the last couple of months?
February 3, 2026 at 10:30 PM
Maybe only you see that as the ref, lineo and var officials, don’t
February 3, 2026 at 10:29 PM
“Thuggery” is an odd word to use for a team top of the fair play league
