Lindsay et al. present a pan-cancer spatial characterization of the tumor immune microenvironment using multiplex immunofluorescence data from 2,019 tumors. Spatial factors conserved across cancer types are identified that correlate with genomics and patient outcomes. A spatially resolved single-cell database comprising 39.4 million cells accompanies the findings.
