Upstate Gnarly!, a group show presented in Ashley Garrett and Brian Wood’s studio for Upstate Art Weekend, explores body in mind in nature. The fourteen-artist exhibition is an interaction of work across multiple media including painting, drawing, sculpture, printmaking, and photography.

In my small town in the early 1960s, there were “old bachelors” and railroad men. The old bachelors were from prominent families with social positions and had university degrees. One was the subject of gossip for his old money wealth and for giving drinking and card parties….
