What a lovely review. I've loved Laurel and Hardy since childhood, and have most of their films on DVD. Their comedy was so funny, but also very clean (so clean, in fact, that two men sharing the same bed never so much as raised an eyebrow.
The Stan & Ollie film was a lovely, moving tribute.

Opinion is divided on whether or not it's actually a good song. Personally, I love it (it certainly beats the crap out of all the versions that followed), and the main thing was that it helped to save millions of lives.

Every time you put up a TV series, I have the complete dvd box set. I have this one, too. I first started watching Jeannie (repeats, of course) when Dallas was still on and just couldn't believe the lovely Tony Nelson and the rotten JR Ewing were the same guy.

I have the entire series dvd box set. An all time favourite but I never considered it a comedy. Yes there was SOME humour among the cast, but a lot of the scenes could have come straight from Deer Hunter or Platoon. That's why I'm glad there's no laughter track on the DVDs.

Surprisingly enough, not many people died in the fire.

I'll always remember him for the line "kneel before Zod" in Superman2. RIP
