Abandoned fiction? No, certainly not. I do get grumpy from time to time. But I've just finished the edits on two new mystery novels. Not sure how soon they'll be available. Maybe as soon as June.

That looks promising, thanks ... but after I select it, it appears nothing has changed.

The reason I keep giving it up is because devising a solid plot is NOT a gift I have. Plotting is hard, and more often than not I fail. I have wonderful characters and smoothly flowing scenes, but the big picture is a mess, and wrestling with it for days I don't find a solution.

I don't care much for the bluesky interface, so I spend almost no time here, but here I am.

Where do I drag? I tried dragging yours down, but no matter where I click before dragging, nothing works. (I'm on a PC, not on my phone, if that matters.)

I loved "The Night Circus" until I got to the end and realized that the two men who trapped the lovers were just plain evil and were never going to be punished for what they did. That kind of put me off.

I have occasional word-finding issues (not often) because I'm old. That doesn't stop me. I lose motivation when I start to feel nobody gives a darn about what I'm writing. Currently I'm staying motivated by working hard to write something commercial. Money is a good motivator.
