Sigh. This makes me sad. I want an open chat room/bulletin board that my friends and I can access without having to worry about the host hoovering all my info then spamming me with unending advertisements, rather than my friends' content.

If anyone cares to lend an old man a few pointers on expanding his personal network, so he can actually start using Bluesky in the way he (and so many others) *want* FB to be, it'd be much appreciated. TIA xoxo
