My first time going and I really enjoyed it, for pretty much the same reasons you did. So different from other cons ive been to. I just wish (and this is going to sound dickish to someone who flew across a whole ocean to get there) it wasn't so far away. We need a southern version in like April

Had a really good time. Little too far to make it a regular thing but it was nice. And honestly I was surprised, but not disappointed, by the lack of what I'd consider "retailers" maybe only as many as a half dozen

I'm a big fan of WFB but it is not one of the best fantasy settings ever written. Even compared to their other settings it's one of the most "made for a game" settings there ever was. It had some great characters and stories but the settings was really just fine
