Had the good fortune of bumping into Max Alexander while at the @royalastrosoc.bsky.social last week. Really thrilled to get a copy of the beautiful catalogue from Max's recent "Life in the Sun's atmosphere" exhibition. It was a pleasure to discuss #spaceweather impacts during its creation!

In Kendal for the biennial Bob Graham Club dinner. Chuffed to get my certificate for completing the round in 2024, becoming club member 2899. As the saying goes “it doesn’t cost anything to join the club, you just have to run around a few Lake District fells within 24 hours”.

Today’s “energetic” lunchtime run taking in Lancaster University’s various energy projects: steelwork going up for the new Net Zero Energy Centre (an air source heat pump that will provide heat for 95% of campus), the new 52-acre 11.5 MW solar farm and our existing wind turbine! #sustainability

Had a really fun time at the Windermere Science Festival this afternoon talking about why the northern lights have been visible from the #LakeDistrict in the last year. Has to rate as one of the most beautiful talk venues I’ve visited!
