I have to admit that I have worried at times about my own Computer Engineering son who is graduating soon. He's such a great guy and has morals that wouldn't allow him to do this BUT do they KNOW how wrong it is? Hard to say. PLEASE get them out before it's too late for them to recover from it.

I couldn't agree more. I wonder how this will play out with countries who have policies blocking felons from visiting? I heard he has to relinquish his gun permit, thankfully, but what other repercussions will he face? He deserves to be snubbed and scorned by world leaders.

I wish everyone would stop framing it as a vote not to release. As you say here, it was a tie/deadlock. So why the fuck not default to releasing it vs not? It was NOT a consensus or decision. It was a default.

AMEN! I am SO tired of having to tell people this! (I have two w/special needs - one Down syndrome, 1 Autism - both thriving 20somethings due to all the support and therapies we were able to provide them with since infancy. I worry what will happen to so many who won't have that if he cuts programs

oh, good information! I feel better now about that - but now I am hearing this is all performative because the criminal report is about to drop on him and if he quits, the DOJ has no jurisdiction on him? What kind of fuckery is this shit? They just get out of everything!

There is no way he would get through confirmation process, but I worry that Trump will just name him ACTING.

I remember sitting down for a rest and gazing waaaay up at the ceiling and feeling absolute awe at how they were even able to build such a beautiful structure so long ago without any modern equipment. Must have been a true labor of love. SO special.

We took the kids to Paris right before that fire and we all feel so lucky to have been able to see it then. It's been heavy on my mind ever since, so I'm really happy to hear this! Must go back to see!

WOW that article is upsetting. We need and should WANT the talent from our overseas friends in our country. He just has everyone convince it's REPLACING our own. I hate this. I will be hoping you and your peers will not be negatively affected and that someone stops him this time. A girl can dream!

Thank you for clarifying that for me. So do you think you're safe from him taking it away from you even while valid? I just worry he will make sweeping actions and claim immunity since he's now a king according to the SCOTUS.

I agree and if he doesn't sentence him, my understanding is that he wouldn't remain a felon, is that correct? WHY would he even consider dropping it? It was a jury CONVICTION. Please, please don't let him dismiss it!

I read somewhere that perhaps Trump wants to get back at Rubio so he appoints him and then DeSantis can replace his senate seat with a Trump sycophant and then fire him. I think that sounds reasonable considering what we know.

If that's their goal then yes. But consider all the others and the STUDENTS from those countries who pay so much more thank ours and help keep the doors open.
