Taking a break from the chaos to recommend this character-driven mystery. It's a slow burn and one of the best of its type I've read in a long time. Can't believe it's Walsh's first novel.

Great piece. Students are not buying the anti-"woke," anti-DEI discourse that red-state legislators are trying to sell the public. Instead, they're far more concerned about how these states are relaxing gun-control laws.
